Has anyone written a book about the results of WWII if we had not made the atomic bomb?
I was just wondering. It would make good reading. The projections of casualties on both sides would have been enormous. Also the Japanese had a bomb of their own they tested just after Hiroshima. They supposedly surrendered because it would have taken their North Korean factory six months to produce another warhead. Besides, we would have had to share Japan with the Soviets, much like East and West Germany. So, do any of you know if any books have been written about what would have happened if our A-bomb was a dud and we had to invade Japan? I know the world would have been a far different place.
