My 4yrs old Cat fixed female not using kitty box all of the sudden?

Somebody please help me, I have a 4 year old female fixed kitty that all of the sudden is pooping and peeing in the bedroom that we use for an office, when I closed that door she pooped this morning on the rug that leads upstairs to the main part of the house. it is like she knows better but finds a private place to do her business.

Sudden changes in behavior, especially in a previously well-behaved, healthy cat, are causes for concern. She is trying to tell you something is wrong. I would suggest a trip to the vet for a check up, she could have a UTI or other issues. I am going with the assumption that nothing else has changed, litter type, litter box location etc?
